STATIONS OF THE CROSS

The shape of the cross is extremely graphic. Ever since ancient times, the cross has been like a modern graffiti, so simple and pure that one can easily identify it thanks to the intersection of two or more lines. It indicates a path, remaining a symbol of direction. Because of their similar shapes, one may associate crosses with poles or gallows. This uncanny resemblance can give the cross a new meaning, a new status. One may then perceive the moral torture, tormentors, and ordeals, which are a long way off what the cross first represented: the junction between different paths.
